Meet Mindy - Your Pre-Med/Pre-Health Mentor Through Chabad@FSU
A Resource for Jewish Pre-Health Students
Thinking about a future in medicine can feel exciting, but also overwhelming. From choosing classes and building experience to navigating applications and planning next steps, the path can be hard to figure out alone.
That is why FSU Chabad is launching a new Pre-Med Mentorship Program, created by Mindy to support Jewish pre-health students as they explore and pursue careers in medicine.
Meet Your Mentor
Mindy is a rising third-year medical student at the Florida State University College of Medicine. She graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Originally from Boca Raton, Florida, Mindy has stayed closely connected to her South Florida roots.
As a peer mentor through FSU Chabad, Mindy is passionate about helping Jewish students navigate the journey toward a career in medicine. She created this medical student mentor program as a way to give back to the community and support students who are pursuing a similar path.
What Students Can Expect
Through this program, Mindy will be available to share her experiences and offer practical guidance on topics such as:
- Pre-health coursework
- Planning for medical school
- Applications and preparation
- Opportunities for growth and experience
- General guidance from someone who has recently been through the process
Her goal is to be a knowledgeable, approachable, and encouraging resource for students who want support as they move forward.
One-on-One Mentorship
In addition to general mentorship, Mindy plans to offer pre-set virtual meeting times for individual students. These one-on-one conversations will give students the opportunity to ask questions, seek advice, and receive personal guidance in a supportive setting.
Why This Matters
At FSU Chabad, we are always looking for ways to support students not only in their Jewish life, but in their personal and professional growth as well. This new mentorship program is an opportunity for Jewish pre-health students to connect with someone who understands both the demands of the medical path and the value of strong Jewish community.
