Site Plan Project Overview

Project Outline

1. Last year’s approval of our special zoning status means that 402 Plantation Rd. now has unique zoning that cannot be removed. Zoning approvals necessary for future expansion and unique land use possibilities, like our existing preschool and construction of a 15,000-sq. foot building on the site will now be legally possible all while remaining sensitive to our neighbors and neighborhood.

2. Immediate improvements required to make our new zoning status permanent include:
• Professionally designed natural landscaping buffers on three sides of the property
• Mulch parking lot
• High-style brick and iron fencing to close off the Plantation Rd. entrance
• More fencing on the east and north sides of the property
• An expanded two-way Meridian Rd. entrance which will serve as the only entrance and exit to and from the shul.

All the above have been professionally planned by Poole Engineering and Surveying to accommodate large community events, increased security, and natural beauty.

Additionally, Chabad has meticulously kept the environment in mind, devising a green design plan that incorporates over 1,000 feet of landscaped buffers, water-permeable parking slips, and medians for mature tree preservation.
